Michigan Adds to Class of 2024 with Badger Swim Club’s Noelle Kaufmann

Badger Swim Club’s Noelle Kaufmann has sent a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan. The Fox Lane High School (NY) senior joins Quinn Schaedler, Claire Donan, Kalli Fama, Claire Tuttle, Sophia Tuinman, Casey Chung, Sophie Housey, and Kathryn Ackerman in Michigan’s class of 2024.

Kaufmann is a great mid-distance freestyler with strong backstroke times and potential in the IM. In 2017, as a sophomore, Kaufmann was the 200 free runner-up at the 2017 New York HS Champs. She also touched sixth in the 100 back. She didn’t race at the 2018 NY HS Champs, but competed at the 2018 U.S. Winter Junior Championships and made finals in the 200 free (1:49.00) and the 500 free (4:48.33).

This summer, Kaufmann hit lifetime bests in long course in the 100 free (58.83), 200 free (2:03.63), 100 back (1:02.66), 200 back (2:13.23), 100 fly (1:01.98), 200 fly (2:19.39), and 200 IM (2:18.60).

At the 2019 B1G Champs, Kaufmann would’ve placed in the 200 free B final, the 500 free C final, and the 200 back C final.
