Wang Xueer and Li Guangyuan both picked up 100 back victories on the third of eight days at the 2019 Chinese National Swimming Championships in Anshan City.
Wang, 21, was slightly off her semi-final time of 1:00.10 to win the event in 1:00.12, leading Chen Jie (1:00.83) and Liu Xiang (1:01.06).
An Olympian three years ago in Rio, Wang holds a best time of 59.82 from the 2016 Chinese Nationals.
Li was also a bit slower than he was in the semis, following up his 54.55 from yesterday with a final time of 54.89. 22nd in this event at the recent World Championships, Li holds a lifetime best of 53.70 in the event from the 2017 Worlds when he lost a semi-final swim-off with Russian Kliment Kolesnikov.
Wang Yutian (55.50) and Wang Guanbin (55.75) picked up the minor medals.
Ji Xinjie won the men’s 200 freestyle by close to two seconds in 1:47.12, a second and a half off his best of 1:45.48 set in Gwangju. Hong Jinquan was the silver medalist in 1:49.09.
The fourth event that handed out medals on the day was the women’s 100 breaststroke, where Yu Jingyao won gold in 1:08.60 over Tang Qianting (1:09.08) and Yang Chang (1:09.09).
