CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women’s swim and dive team topped cross-town rival Northeastern in a dual meet at the Margot Connell Recreation Center on Wednesday night. The Eagles racked up 210 total points to Northeastern’s 90 in the win.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Ellie Uhl placed in the top spot for the first session of 1-meter dives with a score of 217.70. Kate Cilley (207.60 points) and Mackenna Buchanan (194.00 points) placed third and fifth overall. The trio took second, third and fourth in the second session, with Uhl placing second (243.45 points), Buchanan placing third (236.05 points) and Cilley taking fourth. (235.45 points).
- The team of Maura Grimes, Taylor Covington, Victoria Lin and Haley Dolan placed first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.83.
- Lindsey Ryalls took the top finish in the 1000 free, finishing in 10:26.63. She also placed first in the 500 free with a time of 5:05.53.
- Kristina Fecarotta placed first in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.13 and second in the 500 free, finishing in 5:10.69.
- Nicole Barkemeyer (56.75), Grace Edwards (57.52) and Maura Grimes (57.79) swept the top three spots in the 100 back.
- Lin (2:07.12) and Isabel Blaze (2:08.12) placed first and second in the 200 fly.
- Dolan (23.17) and Sofia Zinis (23.92) took first and second in the 50 free.
- Ashleigh Scott placed first in the 100 free with a 52.41 finish.
- Barkemeyer placed first in the 200 back, finishing in 2:02.31.
- Alexa Lantin (2:23.05) and Anna Milia (2:23.18) earned the first and second finishes in the 200 breast.
- Mary Kate Gannon (57.44) and Lin (57.60) placed first and second in the 100 fly.
- Maddie King took the top finish in the 200 individual medley, finishing in 2:09.41.
- Scott, Lauren Quinn, Dolan and Zinis placed first in the 400 free relay, combining for a 3:33.62 finish.

BOSTON – In their third meet of the 2019-20 season, the Northeastern women’s swimming and diving team fell to cross-town rival Boston College in a dual meet Wednesday night.
Picking up a win for the Huskies, junior Klara Juliusson was in a nail-biting battle for the top spot in the 100-yard breaststroke. Fighting to the finish, Juliusson managed to touch the wall at 1:05.83, just milliseconds ahead of Boston College’s Taylor Covington, who came in at 1:05.91.
Sophomore Elly Morrison picked up a win of her own off the platform, earning a final score of 253.45 in the 1-meter dive for first overall.
In addition to Juliusson and Morrison, Cloe Bedard-Khalid finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:34.41, just seconds behind the Eagles’ Lindsey Ryalls. Senior Lena Spear also had a standout performance in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle, finishing third and second, respectively.

The Huskies return to action next weekend, taking on the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, Nov. 2.
