MEN’S 200 BACK:
- Shaine Casas (TAMU) – 1:38.21
- Johannes Calloni (STAN) – 1:42.18
- Kane Follows (HAWAII) – 1:44.63
Shaine Casas blazed to a new best time, winning the race by 4 seconds. Casas came into the meet with a 1:39.84 best from last season. His 1:38.21 tonight makes Casas the #7 performer all-time in the NCAA, and currently leads the NCAA this season. Casas’ time was also an NCAA A cut, automatically qualifying him for NCAAs in March.
Johannes Calloni was just off his personal best, which sits at 1:41.82 from last year’s PAC 12 Championships.

” I treat it as if i am a professional , but i am not ” Best 2d quote of the month right there . 😅
Now THIS kid is full of swimming
The Luka Dončić of swimming
He’s got a lot of momentum. The changes he’s made are working and producing fast times. The veterans on the USA National Team know they’ve got some competition from Shane.
” Going into trials with all my guns firing ” Quote of the Month right there folks . He is my new favorite Rising star ….Go Shaine , Go
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Baby
Man, this kid has a huge future. Seems to have a great attitude. I’d say he’s about 50/50 to make 2020 team (maybe 75/25 if some of the old vets (e.g. Grevers) can’t get back to PR level). But he should be a big part of the National Team going forward and will be at peak for Paris 2024.
Next world champs …..
