Zach Apple accelerated into the wall like a freight train. I know it’s more about keeping your speed while the others’ is deteriorating, than about actually accelerating, but it is still impressive.
Never saw accelerating freight train. Oh, yes, once. In the movie. “Fugitive” with Harrison Ford. But it was actually a decelerating. Never mind. The analogy with unstoppable crashing power of freight train depicts very accurately the impression of how this swimmer attacks the wall.
P.S. I’m still learning from you. 😀
he has got that edge on the last 50 – sign of great smart race pace training there .
Love how Cody went back on his word that he’d be switching his pullout technique… nothing personal against him it’s just funny that within 4 months he’s back to his old ways
True. It just wasn’t working for him. He pushes off the wall much higher now so he doesn’t need to align his body with another kick.
His pull-out looked fine on the underwater shot.
Looks like Miller never switched his pullout method. Off the dive it’s clear he dolphin kicks before the pull.
Only off the dive he appears to execute the downward kick (and then one) at each subsequent turn/pullout he appears to have eliminated the downward dolphin kick as previously explained this past summer.
Big shoutout to Cody Miller for that 200 breast win. God job to him
