Although the official start lists for the 2019 Swim Cup Lausanne have yet to be published, we know from organizers’ social media that several big names are set to throw down this weekend at the Swimming Pool Mon Repos.

Taking place directly after this year’s European Short Course Championships, which just concluded, the short course meters competition has attracted the likes of Brazilian Nicholas SantosUkrainian Andrii Govorov and British bronze medalist in the 200m fly from Glasgow, James Guy.

Freestyle ace and two-time gold medalist from Glasgow, Danas Rapsys of Lithuania has reportedly entered the 2-day Swiss meet, as has Trinidad & Tobago speedster Dylan Carter and American 50m free specialist Erik Risolvato.

The Swiss contingency will see several of its major players to the tune of Maria Ugolkova, Antonio Djakovic and Yannick Kaser off swimming at the Swim Cup Amsterdam, which also takes place this weekend. However, Lisa Mamie, Alex Ogbonna, Elena Onieva,
Nina Kost, Maël Allegrini, Manuel Leuthard,
as well as Sasha Touretski are set to compete in Laussane in front of a home crowd.
