A year after NCAP broke 5 National Age Group Records in mixed relays, the club picked up 2 more on Friday at the NCAP Invitational.

In the mixed 200 medley relay, NCAP broke a new 15-16 National Age Group Record. The NCAP “C” relay, which placed 5th overall, included Zac LeithDavid FitchMackenzie McConagha and Carly Sebring combined for a 1:37.57. That crushed the old National Age Group Record of 1:42.05 that was set last year by Asphalt Green.

NCAP Splits:

  • Leith (backstroke) – 23.79
  • Fitch (breaststroke) – 25.92
  • McConagha (fly) – 24.70
  • Sebring (free) – 23.16

Later in the day, the relay of Trace WallLandon GentryCamille Spink, and Phoebe Bacon combined for a 1:26.18 in the mixed 200 free relay. That broke the old 15-18 National Age Group Record of 1:26.54 that was set by the Suburban Seahawks in 2018. Because Gentry is only 15, NCAP’s relay on Friday did not break the 17-18 record, and the Suburban Seahawks still hold that mark.

A Central Bucks relay group broke the 15-16 record in this event on Friday, so now the 15-16, 17-18, and overlapping 15-18 records are all held by different relays.

NCAP Splits:

  • Wall – 20.36
  • Gentry – 20.51
  • Spink – 22.64
  • Bacon – 22.67

The latest NCAP record-breaking relay included as an anchor US National Team swimmer, and last week’s U.S. Open champion in the 100 back in long course, Phoebe Bacon.
