SAC’s Morgan Brophy (2021) Sends Verbal Commitment to Texas

Scottsdale, Arizona’s Morgan Brophy has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Texas for 2021-22. The high school junior will join Ellie Andrews and Olivia McMurray in the Longhorns’ class of 2025.

I’m so grateful for all of the love and support these people have shown me throughout this process and I couldn’t be happier to become a part of the longhorn family! Hook ‘em!🧡🤘”

Two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Brophy specializes in fly, free, and IM and is a Winter Juniors-or-faster qualifier in the 50/100 free, 100/200 fly, and 200 IM. At the 2019 Arizona High School Division I Girls State Championship, she won the 200 IM (2:02.84) and 100 fly (55.46), helping Chaparral High School win the state title in the Division I women’s meet.

In club swimming, Brophy represents Scottsdale Aquatic Club. She competed at 2019 Winter Juniors West in the 50/100 free, 100/200 fly, and 200 IM. She finaled in the 100 fly (11th) and with a new PB time. Last summer she swam the 50/100/200 free, 100 back, 100 fly, and 200 IM at Des Moines Futures. She made finals in everything but the 100 back.
