2020 National Games Par Hoga Target – National Champion Chahat Arora

2019 mei accha perform karne ke baad Punjab ki swimmer Chahat Arora 2020 mei hone wale various events mei accha perform karne ke liye ready hai isme unki nazar National games par bhi hai.

Recently Nepal mei huye 13th South Asian Games(SAG) mei Chahat ne 2 gold medal aur 1 silver medal jeeta tha.

Unhone 50m breaststroke event mei new-short pool record banate huye gold medal jeeta. Who 25m short pool ke liye first time International level par compete kar rahi thi recent years mei. Unhone 4*100m team event mei bhi gold jeeta, aur 100m breaststroke event mei silver medal jeeta.

Chahat jo ki Mohali aur Punjab Swimming Association (PSA) ko represent karti hai unhone World University Games mei bhi participate kiya tha jo ki Nepal mei huye the last year.

“Ye ek accha year tha but most crucial period toh abhi aana baaki hai. 2 baar postponed hone ke baad Natioanl games ke is saal hone ke chances jyada hai aur mai sach mei usme accha perform karna chahti hun,” Chahat ne kaha.

“Meri last achievement 25m pool mei thi jisme time bhi accha tha mera but upcoming events 50m pool mei hone wale hai aur uske liye jyada hard work ki jarurat hai.Maine already in events ke liye prepare karna start kar diya hai balki ye sabhi events is year ke second half mei honge.” 

National games October 20 se November 4 tak Goa mei honge. Iska last edition Kerala mei 2015 mei hua tha.

MCM DAV College (Sector 36) ki student Chahat ne 14 years ki age se hi comoetitive swimming start kar di thi. Currently wo Gurcharnjit Singh ke guidance mei Punjab University Coaching Centre mei training karti hai. – The Tribune
