CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving ended its home meet season with a big sweep of Xavier on senior day. The women won 208-83 while the men won 223-70.

15 senior student-athletes were honored between the diving and swimming portions of the competition. // DIVING RESULTS
• Senior Claire Schuermann won both events with a 311.32 on 3-meter and 297.82 on 1-meter
• Fellow senior Tricia Roscoe earned a NCAA Zone score with a 280.57 1-meter performance
• Dylan Porter won both events for the men with a 283.65 on 3-meter and 275.55 on 1-meter
• Gus Staubitz finished second in both events for the men

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Men’s and women’s swimming finished behind Cincinnati in a crosstown duel on Friday evening. The Musketeers earned five top finishes, led by Emily Conner’s back-to-back first place finishes. Jon BernardBrooke AtkinsChristian Thomas all earned first place in one event.

The Musketeer women lost with a combined score of 83 to Cincinnati’s 208. The men lost 223-70. These scores included a diving portion of the competition, which Xavier did not compete.

  • Xavier women kicked off the event with the 200 Medley, Ali FortLydia SchaefferTaylor Hogan and Emily Conners touched the wall second, timing at 1:45.66.
  • Emma Kauffeld competed in the 1650-free, finishing in third, earning three Musketeer points.
  • Emily Conners came in a close third for the 200-free, 1:54.11.
  • Brooke Atkins took Xavier’s first top finish of the evening in the 100-yard touching the wall at 57.92.
  • Lydia Schaeffer placed fourth in the 100 breaststrokes, finishing at 1:07.85.
  • Taylor Hogan finished in a close second in the 200-butterfly, 2:05.91.
  • Emily Conners took the second top finish for the Musketeers. Conners placed in front in the 50-free, 23.89.
  • In the next event, Emily Conners took first again in the 100-free. Conners touched the wall at 52.21.
  • Ali Fort finished in second for the 200-back, timing at 2:08.12.
  • In the 200 breast, Kelly Harris earned a second place finish for the Musketeers, 2:24.29 Allison Herman came in third and Lydia Schaeffer ended in a three-way tie for fourth between two Bearcats.
  • Sophia Romero finished in fourth in the 500 free. Romero had a time of 5:19.68.
  • Lorelie Gaertner finished in a close second of the 100 butterfly.
  • In the 400 IM race, Taylor Hogan led the Musketeers in fourth, finishing in front of Alison Herman. Hogan clocked a time of 4:34.81.
  • In the 400 free relay, Clare BosseMaureen CumminsEmily Saugstad and Erin Merke finished in second.
  • The Musketeers fell to the Bearcats, 208-83.
