The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team defeated visiting Rhode Island 183-117 on Senior Day at the Jack Suydam Natatorium. The Blue Devils won 11 of the 16 events.

KEY PERFORMANCES

  • Sophomore Katie Czulewicz won the 100 Yard Freestyle (52.73) and the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:53.74).
  • Czulewicz teamed with senior Erika Maercklein, sophomore Jeannette King, and sophomore Simona Visinski to win the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:35.07).
  • Sophomore Alex Lindgren won the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:23.60) and the 200 Yard IM (2:13.51).
  • Maercklein also took first place in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle (10:39.20) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:09.03).
