High School
Coming out of high school, Hartman was a five-time California state champion and held the CIF state record in the 100 breast. In 2018, she was named the PacSwim Outstanding Short Course and Long Course Swimmer. She was also on the USA National Jr team for 2 years, and qualified for the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships.
Hartman was ranked #6 in SwimSwam’s Top 20 NCAA Recruit rankings for the class of 2019, and #2 in the Re-rank of that class. On April 16, 2018, Hartman announced her verbal commitment to Georgia.

2019-20
Hartman immediately started turning heads during her freshman campaign. She was tabbed as SEC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 9 and 29, and later SEC Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 5 and 26. At the Tennessee Invite on Nov. 22, Hartman set a Georgia school record in the 100 breast (58.27), breaking a 21-year old school record and reaching an NCAA A-cut.
Hartman kept her momentum rolling at the SEC Championships, where she took individual titles in the 100 (58.21) and 200 breast (2:06.20). She also placed 2nd in the 200 IM (1:53.05).
