Swimming From Home: Louise Hansson on Leaving LA, Starting Grad School

We are all trying to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic as best we can. Staying at home and not socializing is not an easy task for anyone, and keeping a swimmer out of the pool is equally antagonizing. Therefore, SwimSwam is starting the Swimming From Home Talk Show, where host Coleman Hodges speaks with the swimming community about how they’re coping with our current goggle-less reality.

At the beginning of March, Louise Hansson was preparing to defend her NCAA titles in the 100 and 200 fly. A few short weeks later, she found herself at home in Sweden, unsure if she would get to go back to LA and USC’s campus anytime soon. Hansson talks about how hard that quick turnaround was, as well as her news that she will be starting her master’s program in the fall at Loughborough University in England.
