Anderson Sloan, a former swimmer for both Clemson and Maryland, has seen the ACC Championships from many different perspectives. This year, he saw a whole new side of the meet, as he was there providing coverage for SwimSwam.
His first interview above is with North Carolina State ACC 100 breaststroke champion Ian Bishop. Bishop talks specifically about his swim, and then more broadly about the culture change he’s seen at North Carolina State since Braden Holloway took over the team.
The amount of energy in the program is infectious. Watching the fast swims was exciting, but it was also a riot watching the coaching staff cheer during each race. SwimSwam’s pictures of the coaches cheering during the Women’s 200 Free heats and the Men’s 800 Free Relay are classic.
