2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship Tickets Available Now

INDIANAPOLIS—The NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Committee announced yesterday the participants in the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

The championships will be held March 21-23 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. The Indiana Sports Corporation and IUPUI will serve as the co-hosts.

A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the
championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving meets March 11-17. The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available at www.usaswimming.org/ncaa (or here on SwimSwam.com). Selected divers will be added to the website on Sunday, March 17.

ESPN3.com will stream finals sessions on Friday and Saturday live. Additionally, ESPNU will air a 90- minute show at 8 p.m. Eastern time, Wednesday, March 27.

**The women’s field includes 10 U.S. Olympians from the 2012 Olympic Games in London (with the potential of one Olympic diver being announced March 17).

**U.S. Olympians include Allison Schmitt (University of Georgia; won three gold medals and one silver) and Elizabeth Beisel (University of Florida; won one silver medal and one bronze medal). Other Olympians who will compete are Cammile Adams, Haley Anderson, Rachel Bootsma, Breeja Larson, Micah Lawrence, Caitlin Leverenz, Lauren Perdue, and Shannon Vreeland.

**Leverenz was the 2012 NCAA Swimmer of the Meet at the 2012 NCAA Championships, leading the University of California – Berkeley to its second consecutive NCAA team title.

**Indiana has 11 qualifiers, while Notre Dame (4), Purdue (2) and Ball State (1) also have qualifiers in the field. Georgia leads with 17 qualifiers.

**Tickets (both all-session and single-session) are currently on sale through NCAA.com/tickets. Each of the three days of competition includes a morning preliminary session (11 a.m.) and an evening finals session (7 p.m.).
