Lydia Jacoby Moves to #2 in 15-16s with 1:07.57 100 Breast in San Antonio

16-year-old Lydia Jacoby popped a blistering 1:07.57 in the 100 meter breaststroke on Friday night in San Antonio to move up four spots on the all-time list for 15-16 girls. She is now just .52 away from Megan Jendrick‘s National Age Group Record.

Jacoby, who swims for Seward Tsunami Swim Club in Seward, Alaska, not far from Anchorage. A member of the USA Swimming National Junior Team member, Jacoby won the 100 breast at 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals with 1:08.12 which tied her for 6th place on the all-time list for 15-16 girls. On Friday night, she dropped another .55 to land in the number 2 slot.

In San Antonio, she was out 7/10 faster than she had been in Palo Alto in 2019. She came home .16 slower.
