BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Fresh off sweeping the 2021 Hoosier Invite this past weekend, the Indiana University water polo team was ranked No. 13 in the nation in the first Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Top 25 on Sunday.

The Hoosiers moved up two spots from the team’s final ranking of No. 15 in the final poll from the 2020 season.

This past weekend, IU started the season 4-0 with two wins over both Saint Francis and Salem in the Hoosier Invite, extending the team’s school-record winning-streak to 14 dating back to last season.

Indiana outscored both teams a combined, 67-20. The 67 goals scored in the first four games are a program-best, while the 20 scores surrendered are the second-least in school history (11, 1998).

Indiana will hit the road and head north to Ann Arbor, Mich. for a tournament with Michigan, Saint Francis and Salem on Feb. 20-21.
