Meet Notes
- The relay team of Isabella DeSimone, Zoe Gavin, Kayla Kreger and Yvonne Schere won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:52.96.
- Caroline Ramos picked up a win in the 1000 free, finishing in 11:52.69.
- Moana Houde-Camirand won the 200 free with a time of 2:01.03.
- Gavin placed first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:15.23. It is the tenth-best time in program history. She also earned a first-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.45.
- Schere won the 50 free, finishing in 25.28.
- Delaney Labue placed first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.02. Kreger placed second with a time of 2:19.00 and Gavin placed third with a time of 2:19.46.
- DeSimone, Lauren Hume, Houde-Camirand and Schere won the 200 free relay. They finished the relay in 1:41.25.
- Niagara will compete in a tri-meet with Canisius and Binghamton on Saturday, March 13.
Men’s Recap
OLEAN, N.Y. – The Niagara men’s swimming and diving team opened the season with a 139-136 dual meet victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
Meet Notes
- Kevin Vu won the 100 fly with a time of 51.17, which is a Reilly Center Pool record and the sixth-best time in Purple Eagle history.
- Vu also won the 50 free with a time of 21.01, which is the fifth-fastest time in program history, and the 100 free with a time of 47.82.
- Dalton Stier placed first in the 200 fly with a time of 1:57.38, which is the fifth-best time in program history.
- The relay team of Noah Brooks, Gio Germano, Sam Schwabauer and Vu picked up in a win in the 200 medley relay, finishing the event in 1:37.89.
- Brooks placed first in the 100 back with a time of 54.79. Germano took second with a time of 55.00.
- Schwabauer earned a first-place finish in the 100 breast, finishing in 1:01.82.
- Marco Wilson placed first in the 1-meter dive with a score of 187.57 and in the 3-meter dive with a score of 186.05.
- The Purple Eagles will compete in a tri-meet against Canisius and Binghamton on Saturday, March 13.

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women’s swimming and diving team opened its 2021 season Sunday afternoon, dropping a 132-97 decision to visiting Niagara at the Reilly Center Pool.
Hayley Tasselmyer scored a win for the Bonnies in the 100-breaststroke (1:05.77) and 200-breaststroke (2:26.46) while also finishing first in the 500-free (5:27.48).
Amy O’Rourke took victories in the 100 and 200-backstroke, also claiming a third-place finish in the 100-butterfly.
Mary Wilson collected wins in both the 1-and 3-meter dives.

Men’s Recap
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men’s swimming and diving team held its first meet of the season Sunday afternoon, narrowly dropping a 139-136 decision to rival Niagara at the Reilly Center Pool.
The Bonnies collected several individual victories on the day.
Freshman Teddy Murphey made a solid debut, winning the 1000-freestyle with a time of 10:24.80. He also captured the win in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:15.51. He also finished second in the 100-breaststroke (1:02.12) and was part of the second-place finishing 200-medley relay with Zachary Titus, Tommy White and Joseph Sepuca (1:40.71).
Titus, another freshman, also impressed in his debut. He won the 200-backstroke (2:01.85), finished second in the 500-freestyle (5:08.75) and third in the 100-backstroke (55.55).
Also earning wins for the Bonnies was Jason Green who took victory in the 200-free (1:44.75) and 200-IM (2:00.22) along with a second-place finish in the 100-butterfly (52.65). Josh Bannon touched the wall first in the 500-free (5:07.60).
The 200-free relay team of Green, Jaxon Kaster, Jacob Ruffolo and Nick Torre produced a winning time of 1:30.24.
