Bryant’s Julia Stenhård named NEC Swimmer and Rookie of the Week

Somerset. N.J. – Julia Stenhård of the Bryant University women’s swimming and diving team has been named the Northeast Conference Swimmer and Rookie of the Week by the organization on Thursday.

Stenhård placed second in the 100 back (58.47), 200 back (2:07.30), and the 100 fly with a time of 58.06 versus Boston University. This is the first time in Stenhård’s career that she has been named Swimmer of the Week, and the second time she has earned Rookie of the Week.

Alexa Rivera was named an NEC Primetime Performer after winning the 50 free (24.19) and the 100 fly with a time of 57.58. Rivera won the NEC Swimmer of the Week award last week.
