Summer Juniors Qualifier Luke DiMiceli Announces Verbal Commitment to TCU

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Luke DiMiceli from Cypress, Texas will remain in-state for his collegiate swimming career. The Cypress Woods High School senior has committed to swim at Texas Christian University beginning next fall.

“I’m extremely blessed to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Texas Christian University. I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for supporting me throughout this journey. GO FROGS 😈🐸”

DiMiceli specializes in free, back, and IM. He racked up a half dozen lifetime bests 100/200 free, 50/100/200 back, and 200 fly) at the 2021 Speedo Lone Star Invitational at the beginning of March. He was runner-up in the 200 free and placed 4th in the 200 back and 200 fly, 15th in the 100 back, and 17th in the 50 free. That came on the heels of the PBs he achieved in the 50 free at the Texas UIL Region 5-6A Championships and the 200 IM at the 2021 Texas UIL 6A State Meet. There, he placed 3rd in the 200 IM (1:48.64) and 12th in the 100 back (51.41). He also anchored the state-champion 200 free relay (20.38) and swam a leg (45.31) on the runner-up 400 free relay.

Best SCY times:

  • 50 free – 20.95
  • 100 free – 46.10
  • 200 free – 1:37.87
  • 50 back – 23.99
  • 100 back – 50.53
  • 200 back – 1:46.92
  • 200 fly – 1:49.28
  • 200 IM – 1:48.64
  • 400 IM – 3:56.96

DiMiceli does his year-round swimming with Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club. Last August, he lowered his PBs in the LCM 200 free (1:57.82), 100 back (59.10), 200 back (2:06.24) and 200 IM (2:09.72) at a CFSC Intrasquad Meet. He is a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 200 free, 200 back, and 200 IM and a Winter U.S. Open qualifier in the 400 IM.

He’ll join the TCU class of 2025 with Jake Litchfield and Phillip Endom and his times will make him a valuable contributor from the outset. He would have been the Horned Frogs’ 2nd-fastest 200 backstroker this year, behind junior Kade Knoch (1:46.45). He also would have been a top-5 100 backstroker and will overlap with current freshman Stefan Varga (47.75), Knoch (48.92), sophomore Nick Skinner (48.92), and sophomore Rasmus Pedersen (49.63). He would also rank among the top-5 200 freestylers.
