But at what cost?
There is no doubt that having the best swimmers in the world swimming in the USA has helped the American team extend its dominance in the swimming world. Just look at the last Olympics results. Who don’t remember Nathan Adrian obsessed in breaking Cielo’s NCAA record in the 100 free during his Senior year? The result of that training got him prepared to win a gold medal at the Olympics. In this case (swimming), it is better to have your enemies at home!
