The CSCAA announced the complete 2012-2013 CSCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s All-America Teams. For clarification, All-America Honors are given to athletes who finish in the top eight of an individual or relay event at their respective NCAA Championship, while athletes who finish in places 9-16 in the consolation finals of individual or relay events receive Honorable Mention All-America recognition.
Emory University led all schools with 25 All-Americans (16 women, 9 men), and an additional five who received Honorable Mention awards. The Eagles ran away with their fourth consecutive women’s team title, besting runner-up Kenyon by almost 150 points, and also recorded a top five overall finish on the men’s side. The 2nd-5th place women’s teams (Kenyon, Denison, Williams, and Johns Hopkins) also had double-digit All-Americans.
Kenyon returned to the top of the podium in the men’s meet after two years of finishing behind in-state rival Denison. The Lords dethroned the back-to-back champions with a group of 11 men’s All-Americans (the most of any school) that dominated the relays events, winning three out of five, and finishing second in another.
