The 2021 French Olympic swimming roster was finalized by the French Swimming Federation (FFN) via Énergie du Sport on Instagram following the conclusion of the French Elite Championships in late June, with 25 names officially qualifying for Tokyo.

The official roster falls directly in line with our projected roster after the French Elite Championships, with 15 swimmers qualified to swim individually in Tokyo and an additional 10 added as relay-only swimmers.
The French quad will be led by Olympic medalists Florent Manaudou and Charlotte Bonnet, who will be the most experienced swimmers on the team with this being their third Olympic appearance.
Manaudou was the 2012 Olympic champion in the men’s 50 freestyle, and followed up in 2016 with a pair of silvers in the 50 free and the men’s 400 free relay. Bonnet won bronze in London on the women’s 800 free relay, and was a finalist five years later in the individual 200 free, placing eighth.
The other two Olympic medalists on the roster are Mehdy Metella and Clément Mignon, who both joined Manaudou on the silver medal-winning men’s 400 free relay in Rio.
The other swimmers who will be making their second straight Olympic appearance for France are Théo Bussière and Jordan Pothain on the men’s side, and Melanie Henique, Fantine Lesaffre, Marie Wattel, Margaux Fabre and Beryl Gastaldello for the women.
Bussiere, Fabre and Gastaldello were all relay-only swimmers based on our projections, though that’s unspecified in the announcement.

Is Manadou swimming on the free relay?
Is France swimming the women’s 4×200?
Huge mistake not to at least swim Lesaffre in the 400 IM if you’re bringing her anyway. She is a European champion in the event.
800 relay women are misplaced
