Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training Celebrates Topping Out Facility Event

Ocala, Florida – Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training and Parrish McCall Constructors celebrated the Topping Out of the new facility on Friday, July 16th, 2021. The Topping Out signified that the facility had reached its maximum height, a milestone for FAST.

Members from the Circle Square Foundation and Parrish McCall Constructors signed a steel  beam to commemorate the event. The beam is placed at the main entrance of FAST.

The Topping Out ceremony also thanked the craftsmen and women who have put in over 45,000  hours of labor into the construction of the aquatic facility. Parrish McCall Constructors President  Mike Walsh thanked the workers for their efforts.

FAST is halfway through construction and is expected to open in March 2022. Trustee of the  Circle Square Foundation, Kenneth Colen, shared his gratitude towards Parrish McCall  Constructors and everyone involved with the project and best wishes for a successful completion.

Among the attendees at the ceremony was Haylee Austin with State Representative Joe  Harding’s office, Jennifer Treiber with State Representative Stan McClain’s office, Matt McClain  with Senator Dennis Baxley’s office, Marion County Commissioners Michelle Stone and Jeff  Gold, Ocala Metro Chamber, and Economic Partnership members Joe Reichel and Jess Schultz,  and Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau members Loretta Shaffer and Jessica  Heller. Wannemacher Jensen Architects Jason Jensen, Sarah Lyons, and Jamison Sweat were  also in attendance.

Executive Director of the Circle Square Foundation, Rebecca Rogers, was the emcee for the  ceremony and expressed gratitude and appreciation for all in attendance and everyone involved  in the FAST project.
