Thomas Ceccon nuota nella quinta batteria dei 100 dorso alle Olimpiadi di Tokyo 2020 e migliora il suo record italiano assoluto.

Con il tempo di 52.49 (passaggio in 25.63) migliora quanto fatto in occasione dei campionati italiani assoluti di dicembre 2020 quando ha conquistato il pass per i Giochi Olimpici nuotando 52.84.

Il tempo di Ceccon vale la seconda prestazione della sua batteria alle spalle del Russo Kliment Kolesnikov che nuota per circa 90 metri in linea con il WR.

Ceccon sarà impegnato questa notte nella semifinale dove si presenta con il secondo crono assoluto.
