WATCH: Dressel’s 100 Free Prelim & More Race Videos From Day 4 In Tokyo

2020 TOKYO SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES

Select race videos are available for your viewing pleasure from the fourth preliminary session at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, including Caeleb Dressel‘s first individual swim of the Games in the men’s 100 freestyle.

MEN’S 100 FREESTYLE – PRELIMS

Dressel advanced second overall into the semis in a time of 47.73, with Italy’s Thomas Ceccon grabbing the top seed in 47.71.

2016 champion Kyle Chalmers led the other semi in 47.77, with a total of six men cracking the 48-second barrier in the evening.

WOMEN’S 200 BUTTERFLY – PRELIMS

Every swimmer that raced in the women’s 200 butterfly prelims ended up qualifying for the semis after Katinka Hosszu‘s no-show left only 16 swimmers in the field.

China’s Zhang Yufei was the top qualifier in 2:07.50, while her countrymate Yu Liyan won her heat over American Regan Smith to qualify third overall. Yu and Smith’s head is the only race video available currently.

MEN’S 200 BREASTSTROKE – PRELIMS

Australia’s Zac Stubblety-Cook and Dutchman Arno Kamminga tied for the top time in the men’s 200 breast prelims, finishing over a second clear of the next-fastest swimmer in 2:07.37.

American Nic Fink (2:08.48) won his heat over world record holder Anton Chupkov (2:08.54), which you can watch below.

MEN’S 4×200 FREESTYLE RELAY – PRELIMS

Great Britain, Australia and the United States raced head-to-head in the prelims of the men’s 4×200 free relay, with the Brits easily claiming the top seed for the final in 7:03.25.

The Aussies followed in 7:05.00, and the United States was third in the heat and fifth overall in 7:05.62.
