On day 2 of the Richmond Futures meet, NCAP 16-year-old Camille Spink clocked a 55.50 to win the women’s 100 free. StreamLine Aquatics Club 15-year-old Annaliesa Moesch swam a massive best time of 55.69 to finish 2nd behind Spink. Moesch entered the meet with a personal best of 56.86.

NCAP picked off their 2nd women’s win of the night in the next event, when 17-year-old Sophia Duncan won the women’s 400 IM in 4:49.99. The swim was off her personal best of 4:46.38, which she swam in May of this year. NCAP 16-year-old Erin Gemmell came in 2nd, swimming a personal best of 4:51.45. Gemmell entered the meet with a lifetime best of 4:53.26, which she swam in April of this year.

Nation’s Capital then made it 3-for-3 on women’s events for day 2, with Mackenzie McConagha winning the women’s 100 back in 1:02.15. McConagha, 18, swam a personal best of 1:02.02 in prelims.

Unattached 21-year-old Joseph Page took the men’s 100 free in 49.71, marking a new personal best. The swim was Page’s first under 50 seconds, marking a best time by 0.81 seconds. Jersey Flyers Aquatic Club 16-year-old Roman Jones swam a 50.51 to take 2nd in the race. Jones’ swim was a best time by over a second, as he entered the meet with a personal best of 51.64.

Bluefish 16-year-old Josh Parent swam a best time en route to win the men’s 400 IM. Parent swam a 4:21.73, taking 0.17 seconds off his personal best of 4:21.90, which he swam at the Olympic Trials Wave II meet. Parent’s 4:21.90 from Trials made him the #10 performer all-time in the 15-16 age group, and his swim from tonight keeps him there.

NCAP picked up another win with Brett Feyerick, who won an incredibly tight race in the men’s 100 back. Feyerick swam a 56.70, with Eli Stoll coming in 2nd in 56.71, and Caleb Maldari was 3rd in 56.84. It was Stoll who flipped first at the 50m mark, clocking a 27.08, while Feyerick split 27.30 and Maldari split 27.59. Maldari came home the fastest, splitting 29.25 on the 2nd 50, while Feyerick was 29.40 and Stoll was 29.63, but it wasn’t enough for Maldari.
