17-year-olds Indigo Armon, Morgan Lukinac, Karolina Bank, and Mary Codevilla of Elevation Athletics smashed the women’s 17-18 National Age Group Record in the 4×100 free relay at the West Summer Championships in Irvine Wednesday evening.
They touched the wall in 3rd place with a time of 3:47.82, beating the previous record set by Dynamo Swim Club in 2013 by .40.
Armon led off the relay in 27.63, coming back in 30.69 and she handed it off to Lukinac who had the fastest 100 meter split of 55.81.
Bank took the 3rd leg 27.09 / 30.52 for a 100 meter split of 57.61 while Codevilla anchored the relay with splits of 26.88 and 29.20 to bring them home under the National Age Group Record.

Codevilla and Lukinac just broke 57.00 in the individual 100 free for the first time at Sectionals in early June. They posted times of 56.51 and 56.59, respectively.
There are no splits available for Dynamo’s 2013 NAG-record setting relay of Caitlin Cooper, Kylie Stewart, Kathleen Cook, and Nicole Stafford. Their record was set at 3:48.12.
Armon is committed to ASU, Lukinac is committed to Brown, Bank is committed to Mizzou, and Codevilla is headed to Notre Dame. They are all part of the high school class of 2022.
