After spending the first four years of his collegiate career representing Dartmouth on the diving boards, Justin Sodokoff will now join the Duke Blue Devils to finish out his NCAA run as a graduate transfer. Sodokoff is originally from Greenwich, Connecticut.
During his high school career, Sodokoff was a three-time letter winner at Greenwich high school. In his senior season, he finished as the runner-up on the 1-meter board at the Connecticut high school state championship meet.
Sodokoff represented Dartmouth at the Ivy League Championships during his first three years with the program before his senior season was canceled due to Covid-19. His top finish at the meet came in his sophomore season when he took third on the 3-meter board. In 2020, he qualified for the finals on both boards, taking fourth on the 1-meter and seventh on the 3-meter.
In his freshman season at Dartmouth, Sodokoff was recognized with the program’s diving award. As a junior, he also was honored with the school’s Ron Keenhold Oustanding Diver Award and received CSCAA All-American recognition. He also set the program records on both springboards, recording a score of 386.55 on the 1-meter and 392.50 on the 3-meter.
Duke’s men finished 10th out of 13 teams at the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. While the program scored more points than eight teams at the meet from diving, they were only able to place one athlete in an A-final, with James Harding claiming sixth on the 10-meter platform.
