Coleman Stewart Breaks Down Travel Rest, Secret Shave ahead of 100 Back WR

In the SwimSwam Podcast dive deeper into the sport you love with insider conversations about swimming. Hosted by Coleman HodgesGarrett McCaffrey, and Gold Medal Mel Stewart, SwimSwam welcomes both the biggest names in swimming that you already know, and rising stars that you need to get to know, as we break down the past, present, and future of aquatic sports.

We sat down with the man, the myth, the mustache: Coleman Stewart. Coming off of his red-hot world record in the 100m back, Stewart breaks down his whole first ISL match of the season, where he also won the Match MVP title. He admits that he didn’t know what to expect heading into his first race, but after the American record (48.91) set by leading off the 400 medley relay, he knew something was going right. Stewart proceeded to shave on Sunday morning before day 2 of the meet, knowing he could have an opportunity to put up something special. And the rest is history.

Off topic. Just saw Jazz Carlin posted on instagram that she’s with energy standard. Anyone knows what her role is? Will she work as team coach?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, there are no roles or rules in this league. It’s all about connections and relationships, and because ES is the boss’ team, they’ll just put whoever the F they want on staff, bring them all, and have a good time. “Oh you’d like a free 6 week vacation in Naples? Yeah sure grab your flipflops come on over!”

They should try to get the meets on ABC because it’s a Mickey Mouse league.

Yo , Jazz Carlin is an amazing swimmer 2x olympic silver behind Ledecky. She’s not a random fan coming over, and if she came to visit her friends/relatives so what?
