Finlay Knox Shatters Own Canadian Record with 1:52.55 200 IM in Naples

2021 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING LEAGUE – SEASON 3, MATCH 5

MEN’S 200 IM

In today’s men’s 200 IM Toronto’s Finlay Knox clocked a 1:52.55 for 3rd, picking up 6 points for the Titans. The swim marked not only a personal best for Knox, it also marks a new Canadian Record. In fact, Knox shattered the previous record, which he held at 1:53.67 from last ISL season, when he represented London Roar.

Knox took the race out the fastest today, splitting a speedy 24.10 on the fly 50. He moved back to 3rd at the 100m mark, thanks to a 28.72 backstroke split, which was the 3rd-fastest back split in the field. He then posted the 4th-fastest breast split in the field with a 32.80, before coming home in 26.93 on free.

Knox’s improvement here is huge for Toronto, who have had a fantastic start to this season through the first few matches.
