HARRISONBURG, Va. – Coming off their record fourth-straight Colonial Athletic Association title, James Madison swimming & diving has announced its 2021-22 schedule as revealed by head coach Dane Pederson on Tuesday morning.

“I’m excited to have a full competition schedule,” Pederson said. “After last year’s abbreviated competition due to the pandemic, we are excited to begin racing in October and with regularity throughout the season. Everything leads up and prepares us to perform our best for the end of season at our conference championships.”

The Dukes will begin their season at CAA foe Towson on Oct. 9, before heading to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne on Oct. 16. The Dukes will then head to Wilmington, N.C. where they will participate in the CAA Pod Meet with William & Mary, UNCW and Delaware on Nov. 6-7.

The JMU swimmers will attend the Liberty Invite from Nov. 19-21, while the divers head further south to Raleigh, N.C. to participate in the NC State Invite to wrap up the first half of the season.

The Dukes kick off 2022 by heading to Huntington, W.Va. in a dual meet with Marshall (Jan. 8) and then return home for their first home meet against a CAA team since the 2019-20 season when they host Towson (Jan. 15).

The team then heads on the road to face Richmond on Jan. 29 before the JMU swimmers head to Charlottesville Feb. 4-6 for the UVA Invite. While the swimmers are in Charlottesville, the divers will host the Duke Dog Diving Invite Feb. 5-6.

JMU will compete in the 2022 CAA Swim and Dive Championships, held in Christiansburg, Va. on Feb. 16-19 as they look for a fifth straight title. The Dukes will then compete in a Last Chance Meet on Feb. 26 before divers who qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on March 7-8 head to Annapolis, Md. The NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will be held in Atlanta, Ga. on March 16-19.
