Charlotte, N.C. – After a stellar day at the UNF Invitational, senior Wiktoria Czarnecka (Lublin, Poland/Liceum NR 10 W Lublinie) has been named the CCSA Swimmer of the Week. It is the first time in her Eagle career that she has been presented with this honor.

In Saturday’s season opener, Czarnecka won two individual races while adding three more wins as part of relay teams.

“Congratulations to Tori! She is an incredible young woman who has been a rock for our program her entire career,” said head coach Dave Rollins. “She came into this season ready to take her swimming to a new level, and she has done just that getting her season started in impressive fashion. We are very happy for her and excited to see where we can go!”

Czarnecka swept the 50-yard and 100-yard butterfly with times of 25.60 and 56.90, respectively. Both times are currently the top times in the CCSA this season, with her 100 fly time being more than a second better than everyone else. She also finished second by just .03 seconds in the 50 free without much rest as it came right after her 50 fly win.

In the relays, she helped the Eagles to three victories in the 200 medley relay, 300 fly relay, and the 500 free relay.

Thanks in large part to the performance by Czarnecka, the Eagles took home the UNF Invitational title, finishing nearly 73.5 points ahead of Georgia Southern in the six-team event.

The Eagles will return to the pool this Friday at 4 p.m. for the Green-Blue intrasquad meet. Their next official meet will come against Vanderbilt on October 16 at the FGCU Aquatics complex.
