MALIBU, California – After a dual win on Saturday, Paulina Holmberg and Haley Bergthold have been named the PCSC Diver and Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Holmberg (Apple Valley, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) finished top four in two events on the board against Azusa Pacific. She finished second in the 1-meter diving event, scoring a 257.03, and followed that up with a 223.05 in the 3-meter event. She ended second and fourth in those events, respectively. This is Holmberg’s fourth weekly honor of her career.

Bergthold (Fairfax, Va./Woodson HS) was crucial to the Waves’ victory on Saturday over Azusa Pacific, securing multiple wins. The senior was the fly leg in the team’s season-best time for the 200-medley relay (1:49.24). She was also the winner in the 100 back (59.76) and the 100 fly (59.32). This is Bergthold’s first weekly honor of her career.

These are the seventh and eighth weekly honors for Pepperdine this season.

The Waves will enjoy two weekends off before heading to St. George, Utah, for the PCSC Championships from February 16-19.
