Following the LEN Bureau’s decision not to invite Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials to LEN events in response to the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, LEN took a decision on the women’s club competitions since the quarter-finals’ stage involved two Russians teams.

It was agreed that after the exclusion of Kinef Kirishi and Uralochka Zlatoust, the respective quarterfinal opponents of these two sides, UVSE (HUN) and Padova (ITA), qualify to the Euro League Final Four by default.

This leaves only two teams to contest the LEN Trophy – in that competition no F4 will be held, instead, the clubs, Dunaujvaros (HUN) and Ethnikos (GRE) shall play a final on home-and-away basis.

On the occasion of the Bureau meeting, the draws for both finals were conducted, and the outcome is as follows:

Euro League Final Four (1-2 April) Semi-finals

Olympiacos Piraeus (GRE) v UVSE Hunguest Hotels (HUN)

Astralpool Sabadell (ESP) v Plebiscito Padova (ITA) (Host to be decided)

LEN Trophy Final

Leg 1, 26 March: Dunaujvarosi Foiskola (HUN) v Ethnikos Piraeus (GRE)

Leg 2, 30 March: Ethnikos Piraeus (GRE) v Dunaujvarosi Foiskola (HUN)
