The California Golden Bears have reclaimed the NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship from their arch-rivals, the Texas Longhorns, 487.5 to 436.5
Cal and Texas have now alternated team titles each of the last three championships, with Cal winning in 2019 and 2022, and Texas winning last year.
This year, it was once again a close battle, but the Bears pulled ahead after the 200 back and ended up winning by a margin of 51 points.
I’m sure he’s a great guy and is certainly a great coach but I’m never gonna make the mistake of listening to another Dursen interview… between that and the podcast he managed a full hour without saying a single thing of substance. Is he afraid of giving away some secret?
Who are you??? He’s literally so intelligent
Love how much he learned from Marsh, wish he gave some credit to the coach who was by his side for the other 10 months of the year.
Great interview. Cal (and its student athletes and fans) is so fortunate to have him (and Kirk Everist, of course). Cal is the only school to have two current team championships, and both are in aquatics. Love the bear costumes!
UVa is the current champions in men’s lacrosse and women’s swimming.

Like Marsh said “Dave is brilliant”. CAL is a very special place.
We are very proud of our leader and what our program has become. Thank you Dave and Go Bears!
Any coach can look into these eyes and feel his heart.
Go Bears!
Could some of the folks who down voted explain their reasoning? Was it for the poster’s comment or was it for the interview. And, if the interview, why the down vote? Was it because your favorite team lost?
It’s the internet
