Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SANTA CLARA, Calif. – No. 14 Indiana (14-12, 1-3 MPSF) picked up a pair of road wins in efforts in California at Cal State East Bay and Santa Clara on Saturday. The Hoosiers defeated the Pioneers, 13-11, and the Broncos, 13-4.
KEY MOMENTS
- Against Cal State East Bay, the Hoosiers got off to a hot start in the first quarter, building a 5-0 lead behind pairs of goals from junior Katherine Hawkins and senior Tina Doherty.
- Quickly in the second, senior Izzy Mandema joined her teammates with her second goal at the 7:26 mark. With just 5:10 to go, Doherty notched IU’s first hat trick of the day. It was part of an 8-2 lead for the Hoosiers at the break.
- Junior Zoe Crouch netted two goals in the third as Mandema recorded her own hat trick to push its lead to 11-5 going into the fourth. The Pioneers would attempt a comeback as it scored six goals but Crouch’s goal plus one from freshman Skylar Kidd helped IU hang on.
- The game against the Broncos would be tied up at 2-2 all at the end of the first as Indiana pulled ahead in the second with three unanswered goals. Kidd got IU on the board early in the second as freshman Portia Sasser added a 5-meter attempt as it went on to hold a 7-3 lead at the break.
- In the second half, three Hoosiers recorded hat tricks including Doherty, Hawkins and senior Kallie White. Indiana would go on to outscore the Broncos 6-1 in the final 16 minutes of action for the 13-4 victory.

Box Score PALO ALTO, Calif. – No. 14 Indiana had its four game win streak snapped in a tough battle at No. 2 Stanford on Sunday afternoon.
KEY MOMENTS
- Indiana (14-13) scored on opening possessions of the first two quarters but six unanswered goals by the Cardinal put them ahead 10-4 at the break. Senior Izzy Mandema led the way for IU with a hat trick in the first half alone as junior Lanna Debow added a goal as well.
- Nothing came across for the Hoosiers in the third as it capitalized off a pair of goals in the fourth from Debow and junior Zoe Crouch.
- Senior goalie Mary Askew added 10 saves but Indiana fell short on power plays, going 1-for-8 on the afternoon.
