U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) ki is week mei hui press conference ne first hints provide kiye hai ki Russian athletes ka international competition mei possible return ho sakta hai.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) ne sabhi international federations se pucha tha Russian aur Belarusian athletes ko internationally compete krne se prevent krne ke liye toh ek protective measure unhone insist kiya tha jab Russia ne Ukraine par invasion kiya tha February mei. But USOPC chair Sussane Lyons ke according, IOC ka stance jaldi hi soft ho sakta hai.

“Ye Olympic movement is notion par built hai ki duniya ke saare athletes peace ke saath wapas aa sake aur respect, equality aur friendship ke sath saath mei compete kar sake,” Lyons ne Thursday ko kaha jab Tuesday aur Wednesday ko USOPC ki Board Meetings ho gyi toh.

“Isse hume ye pata chalta hai ki IOC ne Russian athletes ke comeback pr sochna start kar diya hai,” unhone add krte huye kaha. “Wo apne sabhi stakeholders tak reach out krna start kar chuke hai is topic pr input lene ke liye jisme NOCs aur International federations bhi included hai. Toh mujhe nhi lagta hai kiabhi koi bhi decision liya gaya hai, but hum sab ye smjh sakte hai ki ek time ke baad ye clear ho jayega ki political ya phir other kisi bhi tensions ke chalte unke governments ke dwara liye gaye steps ka asar individual athletes par naa ho.
