South Carolina Swimming, Overnight & Day Week Camp, focuses on training swimmers energy systems for success in summer swimming as well as developing and enhancing the training and racing skills of competitive swimmers. Elite Training Camp focuses on training energy systems and developing racing skills for high level swimming. Campers will train twice per day for two hours each session. In addition, campers can participate in dryland training. They receive education from our nutritionist and weight room coaches, including warm up and warm down routines. The South Carolina staff has developed Conference Record Holders, Conference, NCAA, International, and Olympic Champions!
Each camper is grouped with campers of similar age and ability. Each group will receive instruction and practice skills appropriate for that ability. We do our best to have a 10:1 camper to coach ratio, with highly energetic coaches from the South Carolina Swimming Staff and great coaches from around the United States.
Airport Pick Up & Departure Transportation Services: Camp Counselors will pick up your child to and/or from Columbia Metropolitan Airport. When making flight reservations to and from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport please schedule flights according to times listed below

Cost: $750 Overnight / $650 Commuter (early registration discount of $700 Overnight / $600 Commuter if registered on or before January 1st)

Smoking is prohibited.
- Coin operated washers and dryers are available for use in each residence hall.

Each group will train the needs for the distance of events in that group. Each day will focus on one of the four competitive swimming strokes with a technique session in the in the morning and a workout/technique session in the afternoon. Groups will train twice per day for two hours each session. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to do dryland training sessions, receive take home materials from our nutritionist and weight room coaches (who will provide each camper with a warm up and warm down routine).

During this jam-packed two-day camp our staff will coach & demonstrate the proper sprint technique, stroke mechanics, tempo training, speed & power development for ELITE Sprinters. Campers will use all power equipment associated with developing POWER & SPEED!

Long Axis Camp focuses on freestyle and backstroke technique, while Short Axis Camp focuses on butterfly and breaststroke technique. During these jam-packed two-day camps, our staff coaches stroke mechanics, tempo training, and speed & power development. Campers learn to use all drills associated with correct swimming technique!

Carolina Natatorium
- Pool Size: 50 x 25 yd
- Diving Well (Depth Slopes of 12-14 Feet): 25 x 35 yd
- Permanent Seats: 800
- Moveable bulkhead installed in 2009 allowing the length of the pool to be set at 25 yards, 25 meters or 50 meters, allowing the Gamecocks to train for various meets.
- Featuring 12 solid electronic moveable doors throughout the natatorium, the doors allow Gamecock swimmers the opportunity to practice under simulated natural conditions. The doors also open to a beautiful sun deck that allows athletes to take full advantage of the warm South Carolina sunshine.
- Carolina Natatorium underwent another extensive renovation during the summer of 2010 when a new pool deck and an upgraded lighting system were installed.
- Featuring two one-meter and three-meter boards and a five-meter diving platform, the natatorium’s diving area presents student-athletes with a first-rate training and meet facility.
- The facility also features a state-of-the-art Colorado Timing system. It has a 10-lane readout for spectators and swimmers. The seating area features 800 permanent seats with movable seating to accommodate up to 400 more spectators.
- Site of the 1995 SEC Championship, Carolina Natatorium served as a training site for the 1996 Russian Olympic Team in June 1996. The Natatorium was also the site of the men’s USA-Russia Dual Meet, nationally televised in April 1995.
