WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight week, Bentley University senior Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS) has been named the Women’s Swimmer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Bentley also had both the Rookie of the Week and the Relay Team of the Week for the third consecutive week. Freshman Caroline Ubert (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington HS) received the rookie award and was also part of the relay team, along with classmate Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy), junior Emily Blatt (Westford/Westford Academy) and senior Kate Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS).

In a 152-110 win over Assumption University, Gonzales finished first in both the 200 yard freestyle (1:56.49) and the 50 free (25.11), was part of the Falcons’ winning 200 free relay team (1:41.56) and placed second in the 200 backstroke (2:11.34). Her time in the 200 free was a conference season-best and her time in the 50 free was the second best.

Ubert swept the butterfly events in the meet, with times of 101:23 in the 100 and 2:17.99 in the 200. The 1:01.23 was the second best in the NE10 to date and the 2:17.99 was the fourth best. She was also part of the Falcons’ winning 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:51.74.

The 200 medley relay team took first by 1.42 seconds with a 1:51.74. The Falcons won all four legs by a slim margin with their time 0.60 seconds off the conference season-best.

Also recognized, with inclusion on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll, was senior Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel HS). The two-time Northeast-10 Women’s Diver of the Year totaled 472.65 points for 11 dives off the one-meter board against Assumption. She finished first in the six dives and was a close second to teammate Hilla Almog in the five dive. Her score met the standard for the NCAA Division II prequalification meet.

Bentley’s next meet is Friday night at home against Brandeis University.
