It is the third and final day of the Art Adamson Invitational. This morning’s events saw the prelims of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and 200 fly. The slower heats of the 1650 will be swum this afternoon, followed by the fastest heats swimming with finals.
Alabama senior Rhyan White cruised to take the top spot in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.59. Later, she also earned top seed in the 200 fly with a time of 1:55.62.
On the men’s side Ethan Gogulski was the only swimmer to break 1:40.0 this morning, clocking a 1:39.98. Gogulski’s time is now the fastest in the country so far this year, as he beat Carson Forster’s dual meet time of 1:40.79.
Chloe Stepanek had the fastest 100 free of the morning at 48.45, narrowly ahead of Alabama’s Kalia Antoniou (45.53). Maggie MacNeil notably declared false start and did not compete this morning.
Wen Zhang lowered his own Air Force Academy school record by 0.06 to take second in the prelims of the 100 free this morning (42.91), while Brooks Curry had the fastest time of the morning at 42.61, which puts him third-fastest in the country so far this year.
Alabama’s Avery Wiseman swam a 2:07.72 to easily take the top seed for tonight in the 200 breaststroke. Her time makes her the fastest in the country this year, as she beat Isabelle Odgers’ Trojan Invite time of 2:09.15. Odgers posted the third-fastest time of the morning at 2:10.74.
The Texas A&M men snagged the top two spots in the 200 breast with Andres Puente Bustamante leading (1:52.17), and Alex Sanchez taking second (1:52.76).
In the final event of the morning, Alabama’s Charlie Hawke swam a 1:45.18 in the 200 fly to earn top seed going into tonight’s finals.

Avery Wiseman is Canadian..and she’s good at breaststroke…very strange.
Unfortunately, like a number of the other top Canadian breaststrokers, she might be better at the 200 breaststroke than the 100 breaststroke.
Would love to see her translate her great 200 SCY to a 1:05 LCM 100 Breast! Hopefully this spring 🤞
