During the first break on day 2 of the Texas vs NC State dual, a couple of the Texas Pros suited up and got races in themselves. World champion Shaine Casas swam the 100 back, touching at 45.48. Casas’ best in yards, 43.87, makes him the #5 performer of all-time.

Shaine did a clinic for us. Extremely nice guy and well spoken on top of being just a phenomenal talent. Excited to see how well he performs this next year.
Meh
It’s seems as though he turns over on to his stomach heading into the turn early and kicks into the turn longer than most. Is this intentional?
I’ve noticed this too. It looks like he begins his turn just a bit too far away for him to maintain his speed into the wall.
I also figured he’d be faster than 45 mid based upon how fast he typically swims in season.
