Though we’re just two events in, the opening night of the Men’s NCAA Championships gives us a glimpse into who’s swimming well and who maybe didn’t hit their taper.
Arizona State holds the overnight lead after placing second in both the 200 medley and 800 free relays, though after coming in as the top seed in the latter, the Sun Devils actually sit -6 relative to their psych sheet points thus far.
Indiana leads the way at +24, having placed fifth in the 200 medley and fourth in the 800 free after coming in seeded 13th and sixth, respectively.
Lousiville, Stanford, Texas, Alabama and Notre Dame are also in the double-digit positives, while Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas A&M are at the opposite end of the spectrum.

TN + OSU DOIN WHAT THEY DO EVERY YEAR
With Hobson and Carroza in that form, Texas could very easily start the session with 3 A finalists in the 500. They are going to keep going way up in points if they stay in that form. Hobson is seeded with a 4:13 lol
Incoming funny comment from feeling blue…
Correction – Virginia is +4. The difference between 8th and 9th is four points in relays.
They were seeded tied for 8th. So that’s a seed at 20 points.
Michigan’s backstroker slipped HARD, so I may not read too much into their loss of points.
If he had repeated his split from Big Tens they would’ve been top 8.
When they’re minus 100 at the end of the meet, I’d read into it
