Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Eli Rollen has announced his commitment to swim and study at Oklahoma Christian University this upcoming fall. Rollen is from Merritt Island, Florida, where he attends Rockledge High School, and swims year-round with the ROCOA Rockets.
Rollen follows in the footsteps of his older sister, Olivia Rollen, who is currently a junior on the swimming & diving team at Oklahoma Christian. She swims sprint freestyle, and will overlap with her brother for a year.
“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Oklahoma Christian University to continue my academic and athletic career! I want to thank my family, teammates, and coaches for helping me achieve my goals. I also want to thank Coach @joshdavis_usa , Coach @noahyanchulis , and Coach @julianacifuentescepeda for giving me this amazing opportunity! I look forward to all God has in store for me and am overwhelmed by His many blessings!”
Rollen is a backstroker, and owns a US Open cut in the 100m back. He also is a summer Junior Nationals qualifier in the 200 back, as well as a winter Juniors qualifier in the the 100 free, 100 fly, and 400 IM. This past fall, he captured the Florida High School State Championship (2A) title in the 100 backstroke in a final time of 48.57.
Most recently, Rollen competed at the NCSA Spring Championships. He advanced to finals in all three backstroke events, finishing highest at 19th in the 100 back (48.89). He ended up taking 21st in the 200 (1:48.03) and 27th in the 50 (23.01). Additionally, Rollen logged personal best times in the 100 fly (50.20), 100 free (45.13), and 50 free (21.14), but did not advance to finals.
Top SCY Times:
- 100 back – 48.47
- 200 back – 1:47.51
- 100 fly – 50.20
- 200 fly – 1:50.90
- 200 IM – 1:50.75

Oklahoma Christian University is an NCAA Division II program located in Edmond, Oklahoma. They compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, where the men finished 2nd at this year’s conference meet. The men went on to earn 10th at the NCAA Division II Championships.
With his current best times, Rollen would own the program records in the 400 IM and 200 backstroke. His 100 back is just a few tenths shy, while his fly events are within a few seconds of the records. Leading the backstroke group this year was sophomore Dereck Montgomery, who swam a 48.20 in the 100 to finish 2nd at conference. In the 200, freshman Noah Rabb was the top performer with a season best time of 1:49.80.
With his commitment, Rollen joins Texas natives Gage Davidson, and Sean Sullivan in Oklahoma Christian’s class of 2027.
