CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI swimming and diving has released its meet schedule for the 2023-24 season, featuring two home competitions with much of the season on the road, as well as two trips to first-time venues for the Panthers.

UNI will open with a home intrasquad on September 30 at the Glen F. Henry Pool inside the UNI Wellness-Recreation Center. The Purple & Gold Intrasquad will be preceded by the return of an Alumni Meet. Further details and event start times will be posted at a later date.

The season officially begins with a road trip to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes on October 6. UNI will head to Sioux Falls on November 3-4 for the Coyote Extravaganza, a two-day competition hosted by South Dakota featuring numerous dual meets.

The Panthers are headed east for their mid-season invitational, competing for the first time at the West Virginia Invitational in Morgantown, November 17-19. The change in meets will allow the swimmers and divers to compete together at the mid-season invitational, unlike in previous seasons.

Qualified swimmers will attend the Toyota U.S. Open from November 29 to December 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as the U.S. Paralympic Swimming National Championships on December 15-17 to wrap-up competitions for the fall.

After the new year, the Panthers will host in-state rival Iowa State for senior day at the Glen F. Henry Pool on January 13. The following week, UNI will face conference foe Illinois State in Normal on January 19-20 for a two-day dual meet. The Panthers defeated the Redbirds in Cedar Falls last season.

UNI will conclude the regular season on February 3-4 with the swimmers competing at the Coyote Invite in Sioux Falls and the divers at the UNO Diving Invite in Omaha.

For the first time, the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships head to the Deaconess Aquatics Center in Evansville, Indiana, February 21-24. Evansville becomes the eighth city to host the end-of-season conference championships after UNI hosted each of the past two seasons in Iowa City. NCAA Zone D Diving will be held in Houston on March 7-8 with the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Athens, Georgia on March 15-18.

During the 2022-23 campaign, the Panthers posted a 12-4 dual meet record, a program record for duals wins in a single season with a fourth place finish at the MVC Championships.
