Olympic champion Simone Manuel had a stellar showing in Greensboro, her first major LCM meet since the 2021 Olympics, where she made 3 A-finals in the 50,100, and 200 free. Manuel says her return to training and racing has been a hard balance of getting back to where she wants to be in the pool and also giving herself grace and time outside of it.
Comebacks are uncertain especially when it was a physical problem that caused the downfall.
She’s definitely not at the bottom of the climb anymore.
When you’re a sprinter you need to feel ready to fly when the big races come.
Welcome back champ! Keep taking care of yourself
Happy swimmer = fast swimmer
And this was before she hit 53.6. Wonder how she feels about that swim. FYI (to get nerdy), at the US Open in Dec 2018, she went 53.38 in the 100 free before rocking her PB of 52.04 the summer of 2019.
Who comes here to downvote an attagirl post? SMDH.
It’s so easy to root for Simone – swimmer of the meet IMO! Keep it up.
Love to see it. Rooting for her big time!
way to go simone, cheering you on🙌🏿
