Insight Into The Training Of Sarah Sjoestroem

In the last year Swedish swimming star Sarah Sjoestroem has been compiling some impressive results on the international stage.

In Barcelona Sjoestroem won the women’s 100 butterfly, four years after her first victory at the World Championships in the same event in 2009. In that win she posted a time of 56.53. She also walked away from the competition with a silver medal in the 100 freestyle finishing second to Australian Cate Campbell.

Most recently at the World Cup event in Moscow Sjoestroem was victorious in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle as well as the 50 and 100 butterfly.

After so much success in the last few months swimming fans may be interested in exactly how she has achieved these results and that information is now accessible.

You can download the 2013 and 2014 National Elite Centre training plans as well as workouts that were done at their most recent training camp in Mallorca.

All of that information can be found here

Sjoestroem will also be involved in a Swedish television series that interviews six Swedish world champions across different sports to gain insight on how they have achieved such results.

Sjoestroem’s interview will be aired on October 25th. More information on the television program can be found here
