Cal won their first NCAA title in the 800 free relay since 1986 last night, recording the fastest time in history at 6:02.26. Anchor swimmer Robin Hanson adds context to the mentality Cal came into the meet with and how they are feeling now heading into the rest of the weekend.
Very articulate young man.
Here’s hoping he has a great individual 200.
Great swim by Hanson to step up and put the race away. After his first 100 ASU never had a chance. Nice interview.
I wonder if it was the right decision for him to swim in the NCAA, which has so much focus on relays and SCY. In my mind the guy is clearly a 200-400 LCM swimmer.
Worked pretty well for Henveaux, but we’ll see how it plays out into these Olympics
Well, it seems they’re letting Henveaux stay a middle-distance swimmer, they are not making him swim the 4×50 and 4×100 relays. Robin swam 1:46.9 LCM in 2019 and what has he accomplished since then? He’s now a middle-of-the-pack swimmer in both SCY and LCM. If he had focused on LCM he’d be going 1:43 and 3:42 LCM by now.
Bro got carried even more than Peter Larson last year😭
I know you’re just a troll, but he swam faster than two of ASU’s legs. He wasn’t carried anywhere.
Since when is splitting 1:31 getting carried!? Thats still a top rank split in the field.
Nah Peter got carried harder if he split even near his best Texas would still have the NCAA record
