How To Watch The 2024 Pro Swim Series – San Antonio

2024 TYR PRO SWIM SERIES – SAN ANTONIO

The final stop of the 2024 Pro Swim Series will take place this week at the Northside Swim Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the third leg of the 2024 series, with the Knoxville and Westmont stops already completed, where we saw several U.S. Open and Pro Swim Series records. Many of the world’s top professional swimmers will be in attendance, in addition to several college stars, as the NCAA season wrapped up within the past month.

USA Swimming has publicized a broadcast schedule for April 11-14 via Peacock, CNBC, and NBC. Peacock will feature live coverage of finals on Thursday (April 11) and Friday (April 12), which will begin at 6pm (Central Time). CNBC and NBC will have a taped delay broadcasts at 12:30pm (Central Time) on the 13th & 14th.

All sessions of the meet, both prelims AND finals, will be available to stream on the USA Swimming Network.

Prelims will take place every morning (Thursday through Saturday) at 9am (Central Time), with finals beginning at 6pm (Central Time). Wednesday night’s distance session, which will only include the 1500 freestyle for both men and women, will start at 5pm (Central Time).

Swimming, the only sport where you have to bounce around 4 different networks to watch one single competition.

Not really. You can watch all sessions on USA swimming Network! I think college basketball was on many networks but you can find swimming all on one stream

No one wants to use their crappy app. Bring back YouTube streams for PSS meets like we’ve had for ages.

Gretchen is entered in the 100 back and Urlando is in the 200 IM. Fingers crossed they stay entered because I would love to see them swim these events since they will definitely cut them out of their programs come trials.

LOL more taped delayed bs

USA Swimming is stuck in the late-80s with their tv coverage. They flat out don’t seem to care.

The odds of “zero” new eyeballs on the sport for this is greater than “more than zero”. USA Swimming refuses to do anything to try and attract/get new viewers and grow the sport. Especially with this year being an Olympic year and this being the last major American meet before Olympic Trials. They’re completely being complacent and just assuming that OTs and the Olympics are going to do the work for them.

THANK YOU for putting so bluntly and honestly. USA Swimming might as well NOT exist given their interest in broadcasting a premiere event 2nd only to this year’s Olympic Trials – almost criminal!

Very interested to see if Caeleb and Simone can continue their positive momentum and what the UVA/ASU squad can do after their stellar NCAA performances

There is a lot of depth in USA Swimming and having the likes of Marchand, Liendo, Kharun, and the Walsh Sisters in the mix should make this a much more interesting stop than Westmont in March

I don’t think Liendo is swimming at this meet

cant see anyone being rested for this. I have a feeling that many will be using it as a way to play with their speed in different areas of the race.

Is this really the last Pro Swim Series before Olympic Trials? Nothing in May?

USA Swimming manages to present the streaming info in the most confusing way possible.

Yeah, like, why does Peacock only have first two days, and then last 2 are on tape delay on other channels? Why do we need three different channels for one meet (four if you count USA Swim Network). Also is the feed the same? Seems like NBC loses out on people paying for the peacock sub to watch the meet if it’s available for free on USA-S Network…or is it behind a paywall there too?

No paywall (or at least there wasn’t), but the whole thing is clunky and a poor representation of USA swimming.
