Abbey showing lots of poise here. To me, she and Murph seem like frontrunners for USA’s captains this summer, and I’ll be excited to see who else joins that lineup.

I’m guessing he is ok with it if it’s God’s plan.

Can we chill with the dunking on religion stuff? Kinda tacky. Who cares if they invoke God and such.

I was expecting more from Abbey Weitzeil in the women’s 100 meter freestyle at the 2024 USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials.

Abbey was expecting more, too. She said her training had been going well but just hasn’t translated yet in the meet.

One swim in the heats of the women’s 4 x 100 /200 meter freestyle relay and done. The life of a relay only swimmer.

For their own peace of mind, I hope that a number of the top American swimmers (and coaches) have learned NOT to read the comments (and also the up/down votes) on this site.

I like to point skyward and thank the big man/woman upstairs after a satisfying performance of eating a good dinner. HIS will be done.

You’re a swimmer? Let me tell you one thing

As soon as one was born, one immediately has a body, right? And this body has two arms, two legs and a billion cells inside and a brain with incredible intelligence that has been given to you.

Someone has done something so that a person has a body with two arms and two legs and a very wonderful brain.

Nothing is yours. What did you do to earn your breath? Did you work hard one day to create your breath? Nothing about your hair or teeth is yours. If it’s your hair, whatever color you want it to be, it has to be that color, can you do that? Ok you… Read more »

Life is hard, sports are brutal, and being a swimmer myself, swimming can be hopeless and heartbreaking at times. My Lord and savior Jesus Christ has given me hope in hopeless times. Disappointing people and swimming slow isn’t the end of the story. God’s love is unconditional when everyone else’s depends on how good/bad I perform. There is rest, peace, and hope when your identity isn’t based on performance but the perfect life of Jesus.

Coleman Hodges

Coleman started his journey in the water at age 1, and although he actually has no memory of that, something must have stuck. A Missouri native, he joined the Columbia Swim Club at age 9, where he is still remembered for his stylish dragon swim trunks. After giving up on …
